Types of Zimbabwe Visas

There are 4 categories of Zimbabwean visas that Nigeria passport holders can apply for. They are;

Holiday Visa – The holiday visa is issued to you if you want to enter Zimbabwe temporarily as a tourist. For vacations, sightseeing, visiting family and friends or for other personal reasons.

Business Visa – The business visa is issued to you if you want to travel to Zimbabwe temporarily for business related purposes such as market survey, business negotiations, consultancy, etc. This visa is usually granted for 30 days and cannot be renewed.

Conference Visa – Just like the name implies, the conference visa is issued to foreign nationals who want to travel to Zimbabwe temporarily to attend a conference, workshop or seminar. This visa is usually granted for 30 days and cannot be renewed.

Transit Visa – The transit visa is issued to foreign visitors who are travelling to another country but will need a brief layover in Zimbabwe before continuing on their journey. This visa class is not renewable.

Documents Required for Zimbabwe eVisa Application

Here are the documents that you will require to have handy while applying for the online Zimbabwean visa application.

International Passport – You will need to submit a scanned copy of the bio data page of your international passport. Bear in mind that your int. passport must be valid for at least 6 months with blank pages for the visa stamp.

Photo – While filling out your Zimbabwe visa application, you will be required to submit a soft copy passport photo of yourself. This photo should be at least 6 months old, in white background and your head in the center of the photo.

Accommodation/Hotel Reservation – You will provide a hotel booking or reservation of where you will be staying in Zimbabwe.

Host Information – If you are being invited to Zimbabwe by a friend or family, you will need to provide their contact information. For example, physical address, office address, etc.

Proof of Evidence in Nigeria – You will have to come up with documents to show that you are currently resident in Nigeria and intend to return back to Nigeria after your stay in Nigeria. For example, utility bills, letter of employment, business registration document, etc.

Invitation Letter – If you are invited to Zimbabwe by a business organization or organizers of a conference, then it is important that the host in Zimbabwe writes an invitation letter on your behalf to the Zimbabwean immigration service. You are to upload a copy of this letter to your evisa application.

Business/Introduction Letter – This applies to a Nigerian who is travelling to Zimbabwe to represent their Nigeria business organization. This letter   is written by your organization/company in Nigeria on your behalf; showing that they are sending you to Zimbabwe for specific reasons, how long you will be there, where you will be staying and that they are responsible for your upkeep and logistics while you are in Zimbabwe.

Previous Zimbabwean Visa – If you have travelled to Zimbabwe in the past, you are expected to scan and upload a copy of your previous visa.

  • When the website opens, click on “Apply”.
  • As a new user, click on “Register”
  • Create a new user account using your email address and password. A link will be sent to your email address confirm and verify your Zimbabwe visa application account.
  • After verification, click on “New Application” to start the process.
  • Select either “single” or “Double” entry visa.
  • Fill out the visa application correctly
