Sample Invitation Letter for Chinese Tourist Visa

There is no rigid format or laid down rule as to how your invitation letter for your Chinese tourist visa should look like. However, since your presentation and the order of information matters and may affect your chances of your visa being accepted or rejected directly or indirectly, then you should take note to present it properly.

The guideline below will help you in writing and presenting an invitation letter that will be acceptable by the Chinese consular. Also I will be adding samples of invitation letters for a typical type Chinese tourist visa.

Guidelines for Writing Invitation letter for Chinese Tourist Visa

Below are three different ways in which you can write your Chinese tourist VISA invitation letter

Sample A: Your letter will have three main segments just like a typical letter; the head, the main body and the conclusion.

  1. The heading: this section will contain the information on the sender the recipient, date and salutation. All are explained further below;

     a. Sender’s Contact: the sender refers to the individual, body or any other entity inviting you to China or who you will be visiting in china. The sender’s information is a vital part of your invitation letter for the type L Chinese tourist visa and should be positioned at the top right side of your letter.

The information about the sender should include;

  • The name
  • Address
  • Phone number

  b. Applicant’s Contact: the applicant also referred to as the recipient is the individual who intends to travel to China or applying for the tourist visa. The sender’s information is a vital part of your invitation letter for the type L Chinese tourist visa and should be positioned at the top left side of your letter.

The information about the recipient should include;

  • The name
  • Address
  • Phone number

   c. Date: after the information about the sender and recipient, the next thing to add to your letter is the date. This should be positioned right below the recipient’s information.

Note: Ensure that the date in your visa invitation letter is before the date of your visa application.

   d. Salutation: immediately after your date, the next thing to add is the greeting or salutation. An example of an acceptable salutation will be ” Dear Uba”

 

   2. Main body: this part is the main body of the letter and is made up of the major content of the letter which includes the information on the subject matter, the purpose of the visit, destinations, source of funds and so on.

   3. Conclusion: this is the closing part of the letter. After you have added all the information necessary in the body of the letter, then you should have a closing similar to “ Sincerely , Abubakar”

Chigozie Uba, born on 22nd September, 1970 is my brother and will be staying at my residence during his visit. His passport  number is AO628028098 and his address is 14, Adamma Street, Ilupeju, Lagos-Nigeria.

I and my family reside in China at 12, Beijing Street, Beijing, China. My Beijing phone number is 1300-112-1000.

I have attached a copy my passport, photograph and residence visa as well as some other relevant document with this letter where more information about me can be found.

I will be happy to answer any questions as regards Chigozie and his visit to China.

Important Note:

  1. In a case where you are travelling to China on your own without intending to visit anyone, you are required to get a tourist company who will issue you an itinerary for your trip and this wills serve as your letter or proof of your trip and its purpose.
